What can I do with old cammies?

If the uniforms are still decent and wearable, you can donate them to military organizations like the ROTC, where cadets can wear them for training. Some take even worn-out ones so that they can rip and utilize them during simulations and drills. Most thrift stores accept old military uniforms.

Why are there 21 guns?

Because greater quantities of gunpowder could be stored on dry land, forts could fire three rounds for every one fired at sea — hence the number 21. With the improvement of naval gunpowder, honors rendered at sea increased to 21, as well. The 21-gun salute eventually became the international standard.

Add a cup of vinegar to the water. The strong smell of vinegar will fade away, together with any type of musk your military uniform might have developed. Put a cup of baking soda in the washing machine. The combination of baking soda and vinegar is a good fighter of odors in clothes, no matter how strong they might be.

Does the Army serve the soldier or the soldier?

One of the things I despise most is the idea that the army serves the soldier. The army doesn’t serve you, you serve your country by joining the army. Fortunately, there are very few people that believe this because Basic Combat Training (BCT) does an outstanding job of smoking that idea out of recruits’ heads.
