People did get sewn into the clothes, especially the very rich could be sewn into a very elegant dress for the evening, but even in older ages this “sewing” had a different meaning. If only you know how to sew a really tailored piece then it is worth spending money on fabric and tailoring, otherwise there are labels that offers really good clothes at really affordable prices.
