Do different timelines exist?
Multiple timelines is not a reality yet (as of 2016’s science and technology), but exists only in Marvel/DC universe. It is something that is used to explain the paradox of time-travel.
Can parallel universes interact?
Scientists now propose that parallel universes really exist, and that they interact. They show that such an interaction could explain everything that is bizarre about quantum mechanics.
How many alternate universes are there?
One obvious question that arises, then, is exactly how many of these parallel universes might there be. In a new study, Stanford physicists Andrei Linde and Vitaly Vanchurin have calculated the number of all possible universes, coming up with an answer of 10^10^16.
What is omniverse?
Definition of omniverse : a universe that is spatiotemporally four-dimensional.
Do universes overlap?
The universes predicted by string theory and inflation live in the same physical space (unlike the many universes of quantum mechanics which live in a mathematical space), they can overlap or collide. Indeed, they inevitably must collide, leaving possible signatures in the cosmic sky which we can try to search for.
What is the Megaverse?
A Megaverse is a collection of several different Multiverses, either a finite or infinite amount of them, usually each having different properties and interuniversal laws, such as different cosmic events being possible, such as Big Booms, etc.
What is Outerversal?
For a more in-depth analysis, outerversal realities are those whose nature is conceptually different from time and space (of any size and complexity), that is, they are completely transcendental in relation to physics. An outerverse can be the “background” for a dimensional reality of any size and complexity.
Is there evidence for the existence of alternate realities?
Other perhaps even more bizarre proposed evidence for the existence of alternate realities include the idea that sightings of ghosts and other paranormal phenomena are caused by other realities sort of bleeding over into our own.
Can two versions of reality exist at the same time?
(Image credit: Shutterstock) Can two versions of reality exist at the same time? Physicists say they can — at the quantum level, that is. Researchers recently conducted experiments to answer a decades-old theoretical physics question about dueling realities.
Is there such a thing as an alternate reality?
No, you’d say, “Oh, alternate costume!” Or something like that, anyway. Parallel realities are realities that are similar to the Prime-Universe (the “main” universe), but are substantially different. Alternate realities are alternate paths the Prime-Universe could take.
Do alternate universes really exist?
Brian Cox. Quantum mechanics, different planes of existence, and a hammer that nobody can identify a time for are all compelling pieces of evidence that prove alternate realities are real. In this universe, anyway. Note: Portions of this article are courtesy Stranger Dimensions and their post ” 4 Weird ‘Clues’ That Parallel Universes Exist “.
