Do Marines have an APO?

As an extension of the United States Postal Service (USPS), Postal Affairs provides Marines, their family members, and other authorized users mail services around the world. We provide the same level of service, and many similar services our customers come to expect from their local post office.

Do Marines have MOS?

There are hundreds of these roles available for aspiring Marines, roles the Marine Corps refers to as Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). These MOS are categorized into Military Occupational Fields, most of which are described on this page.

What is the Marine version of MOS?

Military Occupational Specialty
The Marines use the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Code to identify all of the jobs in the Marine Corps. It’s a four-digit code to identify specific job specialties. MOS’s are grouped into different occupational fields (the first two digits) and then by a specific job in that field (the last two digits).

Can a Marine have 2 MOS?

Yes, a Service member can have more than one MOS, a Primary, Secondary and Alternate. For qualification, SM must attend the training for each MOS. However the Primary MOS must be the duty position that SM is in. Some people are issued a secondary MOS if then need arises.

What is a PSC Box?

Overseas military addresses must conform to domestic addressing standards. The delivery line (the second line from the bottom in the address) must show the word “UNIT”, “CMR” (Community Mail Room), or “PSC” (Postal Service Center) and number; and box number assigned.

What is an APO?

APO stands for Army Post Office and is associated with Army or Air Force installations. FPO stands for Fleet Post Office and is associated with Navy installations and ships. DPO stands for Diplomatic Post Office and is associated with U.S. Diplomatic locations.

What is the 0372 MOS in the Marines?

The creation of the 0372 MOS was a response to the desire of MARSOC Marines to remain at MARSOC with an MOS that would allow them a Special Operations dedicated career path. Previously, the Marines who qualified as a MarSOC Marine Raider had to go back to the regular Marine Corps jobs for career advancement.

Previously, the Marines who qualified as a MarSOC Marine Raider had to go back to the regular Marine Corps jobs for career advancement. Many went back to Infantry or RECON MOS, but now if a Marine so chooses, he/she can stay at Marine Special Operations Command throughout their enlistment.
