Do you have to pay for your first uniform in boot camp?

Your first uniforms are issued to you, but you will see the deduction on your first paycheck. However, since you are in boot camp for the first 2 to 3 months, you will not really see this charge unless you really look hard at your LES (Leave and Earnings Statement) it is a little like slightly reduced pay for training.
