Do universities look at Grade 11 or 12 marks?

Usually, Canadian universities looks at your grade 11 marks for early admission, while for regular admission – universities will look at your final marks for first semester final marks and second semester mid-term marks for a conditional offer letter.

Do UK universities look at Grade 11 marks?

No not really, most universities expect you to have at least 5 GCSEs A*-C (which almost everyone has). These exams are sat in year 11 (age 16) in the UK.

Ultimately, whether you submit your Grade 11 or 12 marks is entirely dependent on what the university requires of you. If the university allows you to submit the marks you achieve throughout your matric year, you can use this as an opportunity to improve your marks if your Grade 11 results weren’t up to scratch.

Do Colleges look at grade 12 marks?

12th grades. These are the grades which will be evaluated. If you’re applying in an early admission round, your admission officer will see the first quarter of 12th grade; if you’re applying in regular decision, your admission officer will see grades for the entire first semester of senior year.

Do grade 11 marks matter when applying to UBC?

Yes, Grade 11 marks matter, but only for the time between Grade 11 and 12. Low Grade 11 marks will prevent you from applying early. What I can say is that if you’re in a semestered system, some grade 11 marks are often used for early admission decisions by many universities in Canada.

What grade do admissions officers use for grade 12 marks?

Most students don’t have 5 Grade 12 courses completed at the end of the first semester—even if they do, they probably don’t meet all the pre-requisites required for their desired program—so admissions officers will use Grade 11 marks as ‘predictors’ for Grade 12 marks. Which marks they use depends on what program the student has applied to.
