Do you go straight from BCT to AIT?
Whether you go right after Basic Combat Training or after your Phase 2 RSP (Recruit Sustainment Program) training, you’ll eventually go to Advanced Individual Training (AIT). In all likelihood, unless you’re in One Station Unit Training (OSUT), your AIT will be at a different post from your BCT.
Do you get Bah while in AIT?
For basic training or technical school/AIT/A-School, you will receive the BAH amount for the location where your dependents are residing. However, if you are not married or divorced and are paying child support, you do not receive full-rate BAH while living in the barracks.
What happens after BCT graduation Army?
After Basic Combat Training (BCT) graduation, Soldiers will begin out-processing procedures. They will need to gather their belongings from the barracks and check-out of their unit. Once check-out is complete Soldiers are required to check-in to their next unit at their AIT school.
What is the difference between AIT graduation and basic training graduation?
Graduation size and locations vary based on school location. AIT graduation will be similar to Basic Graduation except it is generally smaller and more intimate than Basic Training graduation. Families can still attend graduation and soldiers will receive individual recognition.

How long does Advanced Individual Training (AIT) take?
Advanced Individual Training (AIT) ranges from 4 to 52 weeks depending on a Soldier’s MOS. After graduating from basic training, Soldiers will go to AIT where they will complete Phase IV and Phase V before joining their unit.
