Do you need a degree to be an Army engineer?

To be a military engineer, you need a bachelor’s degree in a specific type of engineering, such as civil, hydraulic, or architectural engineering. Many positions also require you to have at least some experience before employment with the federal government.

Do you need a degree to be in the CAF?

If you wish to join the Forces as an officer, you need to have or be working toward a Bachelor’s Degree. In the case of enlisted members of the CAF, even though a Secondary IV or grade 10 education is the minimum, that will limit the jobs you qualify for.

Can you learn to be an engineer in the military?

A few examples of engineering careers available to officers include architect, civil engineer, environmental engineer, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer. The skills gained through these careers may prepare Army engineers to pursue civilian careers once their obligation to the Army is complete.

To become eligible for induction into TGC-132 course at IMA, Dehradun, candidates studying in final year of engineering must ensure that he submits the proof of his passing Engg degree exam by 01 Jan 2021 to Directorate General of Recruiting, failing which his candidature will be cancelled.
