Do you need a scuff sheet on a cricket bat?

Having a scuff sheet applied is always going to help support the bat and realistically the performance difference is hardly noticeable if you don’t have one on. It also helps the bat looking like new every time you remove it and re-apply a new one.

Should I put tape on my cricket bat?

Let the bat dry for a week. When it’s completely dry, you can use the bat as is or apply a face tape to the bat to prevent cracks while you play. Keep the bat out of direct sunlight as the oil dries.
