Re: Socks in Mosque? There is NO RULE for SOCKS in the moques. It depends on your comfort. If you want you can be barefoot.

Can you wear shoes in a mosque?

It is appropriate to remove one’s shoes before entering the prayer area at a mosque, so that the floors and carpets aren’t covered with dirt — after all, that is where people pray.

Do Muslims take their shoes off at the door?

The only practice of removing shoes outside the home is before entering “inside” the mosque; however, people never remove shoes when in a mosque’s courtyard or garden.

Is it haram to wear boots?

Unless it is for hajj or umrah, there isn’t any issue, and even that applies to the men. You put them on after making wudhu.

Can you pray with shoes in front of you?

Any type of clean footwear is fine to wear during prayer (Salah). Praying with shoes, slippers, sneakers, trainers, sandals is all acceptable and permitted in Islam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray with his shoes/sandals on. The evidence for this is found in many hadith of the Prophet.

Why do Muslims wash their feet?

As part of the ritual preparation for prayer, observant Muslims wash, including their feet. In an effort to be sensitive to this practice, and they say to prevent slippery floors from water sloshing under the sink, a number of colleges and universities have constructed footbaths to accommodate the Muslim students.

You can if it’s torn below the knee. If it’s above the knee the you must have some innerwear to cover the visibility of skin. In short you must make sure you have covered your aurath or private parts.
