Do employers accept online BLS certification?
Currently, the AHA does not accredit, approve, nor endorse any fully online BLS or CPR certification or renewal course, so the answer is no. The AHA requires an in-person, hands-on- skills assessment as a part of their certification program, and that is not possible online.
Does ACLS certification cover BLS?
An ACLS certification does not cover BLS, though you may be able to bundle these two courses together, depending on where your certification is obtained. An ACLS certification is required for all nurses that will be working in the intensive care unit or will be working with adults, in general.
