Why is AOE 1 so popular?

THAT SAID, AOE 1 had the better cheats , the scenario editor was easier to understand IMO if you’re into that kind of thing, and there is a HUGE nostalgia hit in AOE 1 for me as it was essentially the first real PC game I played for real haha. It will always have a very special place in my heart ^__^
