Does Akainu killed ace?

Ace had been handed to the Marines by Blackbeard, who gained the position of a Shichibukai in return. Luffy arrived at Marineford with his allies to save Ace. He was successful in freeing Ace, but Ace sacrificed his life to save Luffy’s life. While Luffy was being carried away, Akainu decided to kill him.
