Does AWS provide SLA?
AWS makes two SLA commitments for the Included Services: (1) a Region-Level SLA that governs Included Services deployed across multiple AZs or regions, and (2) an Instance-Level SLA that governs Amazon EC2 instances individually.
What is SLA uptime?
Data center SLA uptime indicates the amount of time a server remains up and running, usually over the course of a year. Uptime is expressed as a percentage. So if a facility’s SLA claims to provide 99\% uptime, then customers can expect its servers to be down 1\% of the time, or 3.65 days over the course of a year.
What is EC2 instance status?
Open the Amazon EC2 console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/ . In the navigation pane, choose Instances. On the Instances page, the Status check column lists the operational status of each instance. To view the status of a specific instance, select the instance, and then choose the Status checks tab.
What is the uptime guarantee of Amazon EC2?
Amazon EC2/RDS instances have an uptime guarantee of 99.95\% on a monthly basis. The max permissible downtime roughly equates to 22 minutes per month assuming 30 days and anything beyond that limit qualifies for a service credit. If you are building applications and want to commit on uptime guarantee you may want to take note of this point.
What is the SLA for Amazon EC2 and EBS?
This SLA applies separately to each account using Amazon EC2 or Amazon EBS. Unless otherwise provided herein, this SLA is subject to the terms of the AWS Agreement and capitalized terms will have the meaning specified in the AWS Agreement.
Is there an availability guarantee for AWS EC2 instances?
Short answer: No, if you mean is there an availability guarantee for *your instances* running at AWS. The AWS SLA ( http://aws.amazon.com/ec2-sla/) only guarantees two things: 1) That the EC2 API will be available to allow you to launch new instances 99.9\% of the time.
Do I need an Amazon Web Services account to use EC2?
