Does basic training include reception?

Army Reception You won’t start Army basic training immediately upon arrival. First, you have to wait your turn in a special program called reception. You get to do it the Army way, however, which means doing just a little bit of “processing” each day for anywhere between one and three weeks.

Reception battalion is a very relaxed week, it’s the perfect opportunity to get to know people. It’s a little harder asking about someone later in basic training while doing pushups And just like everything else in the Army, sitting and waiting. Just don’t enjoy the fatty foods served at the initial processing chow halls too much, you’ll regret it.
