Does Caleb know Kyoko is a robot?

Caleb then tells Nathan about how he woke up and Nathan replies, “She’s some alarm clock, huh? Nathan literally equates Kyoko’s best use to the function of an “alarm clock,” and while Kyoko in reality is a machine, Caleb does not know that in this moment.

Can Kyoko speak in Ex Machina?

Kyoko, while well below Ava’s intelligence, is smarter than she lets on (or at least develops it throughout the movie) She and Ava can communication in some fashion.

Did Ava like Caleb?

It would show that Ava genuinely cared for Caleb (instead of proving that she was using him) which is not what she was programmed to do. She was programmed to use Caleb to escape and that’s what she did. If she took him with her then that would suggest something more (human emotion), which she is incapable of.

Does Caleb survive Ex Machina?

Because of his excessive pride, Nathan declares the test a success and does not immediately realize that Caleb has succeeded in setting Ava free. When he finally realizes it, he knocks Caleb unconscious and tries to regain control of Ava.

Is Ava the test in Ex Machina?

Throughout Ex Machina, he hides the truth that Caleb is, in fact, the test: Ava is a rat in a maze, and Caleb’s emotions are the maze. If she can manipulate Caleb’s emotions in an effort to escape, she passes the test. Nathan has presumably conducted many similar tests, the exact outcome of which is mostly left to the audience’s imagination.

What happens to Ava at the end of the movie Ava?

For Ava, the film ends with her navigating the streets of a crowded city, apparently passing as human in the real world. For now, she probably just wants the freedom to live, the way that any organism does. She has, however, demonstrated that if anyone tries to contain her, she can be ruthless.

What happens at the end of Ex Machina?

That’s when the thrilling race toward Ex Machina ‘s ending begins. In order to prevent Nathan from destroying Ava, Caleb decides to set her free. He tells Ava that he plans to steal Nathan’s key card and reprogram the doors to open in the case of a power outage, rather than locking down.

How did Ava and Nathan escape the facility?

Ava will then trigger a power outage at the power source that she uses to recharge her battery, and the two will escape together. Before they can enact this plan, however, Nathan catches them. He then tells Caleb the real real reason that he was brought to this facility.
