All the way from Intel’s first integrated graphics to its 2020 product line, Intel was reliant on its ‘Gen’ design.

Intel has launched its 11th Gen Tiger Lake CPUs. The new CPUs come with integrated Xe graphics.

Does an Intel processor have an AMD APU?

Thus no, intel does not have an AMD “APU”. Most every chip intel makes has an integrated GPU. This is sufficient for display, for HD video playback (newest 630 chipset can do 4k video playback), as well as being able to play less-demanding games. AMD either makes chips that are APUs or ones with no integrated graphics at all.

What is the difference between Apu and integrated HD graphics?

APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) manufactured by AMD is slightly more than just a marketing gimmick. In Integrated HD graphics the graphics is integrated into the processor silicon. Integrated is enough for the average user but not for gaming.

What is Apu (Apu)?

APU is just a marketing term made up by AMD to designate a CPU+GPU on a single chip. The original idea behind AMD’s project “Fusion” was to build a chip that had both a GPU and CPU working together on a single task. This didn’t quite go through, but we still got APUs out of it.

What is the difference between Intel and AMD processors?

The overall design isn’t much different (CPU with a graphics processor on the same chip), but AMD tends to focus more on the graphics processor where as Intel is all about the CPU. This is captured in the schematic comparison AMD put out as AMD tries to sell the larger and more powerful GPU.
