Has ayushman Bharat been successful?

Ayushman Bharat has completed two years. Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which provides health insurance cover of Rs. 5,00,000 to more than 53 crore poor and vulnerable citizens, achieved a landmark of 1 crore (10 million) hospitalisations in less than 20 months in May this year.

The Ayushman Bharat health scheme offers financial protection to 10.74 crore poor, rural families and identified occupational categories of urban workers’ families. 5,00,000 per family (on a family floater basis).
