How can I join Army after physiotherapy?

In order to get into Indian Army as Physiotherapist one has to either complete its graduation or masters in Physiotherapy . One can appear for Combined Defence Exam (CDS) which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year. One must be between the age of19 to 25. You should be an Indian.

Can a physiotherapist work in army?

Yes there are vacancies for physiotherapists within the Army Medical Corps Other Ranks . There is a requirement for physiotherapists in military hospitals but I have not come across any who are uniformed doctors.

How can I join AFMC after BPT?

The basic eligibility to join the Armed Force is to have a degree in physiotherapy. The AFMC carries out an entrance test to select candidates in to various posts in the paramedical sections. Candidates must be unmarried. The age of the candidate should be under the age of 25 years.

Can I join army after BPT?

BPT is Bachelor in Physiotherapy and is a Graduation degree course. Hence, you can apply for all those Indian Army jobs, which require Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University.

Can physiotherapist join Air Force?

Unfortunately, one have got limited scope to join armed forces after finishing graduation in physiotherapy. For Army/ Navy/ IAF: You will have to write CDSE. But it will be a SSC i.e. Short service commission and it will not be a medical cadre. As of now army doesn’t have medical entry for physiotherapist.

What rank is a physical therapist in the Air Force?

As physical therapists with a doctorate, you will enter the military as an O-3, which is a Captain or Lieutenant in the Navy.

Can physiotherapist join Indian Air Force?

There is no any such special entry scheme for Physiotherapist. But if you want to join Indian Air force you can give an entrance examination of CDS (Combined Defence Service). This exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year.

Can you be a physical therapist in the military with a degree?

Of course, the good news is those who complete DPT programs have a much better chance of finding work as a physical therapist, both in the military and in civilian life. Pick a university that offers physical therapy as a major, and make sure that the program is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
