Over time, artificial intelligence (AI) has shifted from algorithms that rely on programmed rules and logic—instincts—to machine learning, where algorithms contain few rules and ingest training data to learn by trial and error. Human minds sit somewhere in the middle.
Can AI make mistakes?
Machines are like humans, and everybody makes mistakes; that does not mean they will always make the same mistakes. Technology evolves rapidly, so do machines and artificial intelligence. New tech is developed every now or then; it makes those machines more robust, scalable, making fewer mistakes.

The ability of AI to see is referred to as computer vision. Computer vision is a sub-field of Ai dedicated to AI’s ability to read and identify visual images. In 2015, Baidu’s AI system, Minwa proved that AI systems are now better than humans at recognizing and sorting images.
Can AI systems learn to drive?
AI systems have learned to do so many things, they have learned to play games (in some cases even better than humans), and they are learning to drive vehicles on real world road (they have even started driving vehicles albeit in a small scale). Fascinatingly, AI systems learn like humans do.
