How prestigious is IJSO?

IJSO, International Junior Science Olympiad is a very prestigious examination which is held for classes 9th, 10th. It is a tough examination due to two factors, the competition and the difficulty level of the paper. The number of candidates is less, but the quality of the candidates is very high.

Is maths there in IJSO?

IJSO is a competitive examination open to students of all countries in the world, primarily studying in secondary schools. All basic subjects of Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics) are given roughly equal representation in the IJSO examination.

Ans: Yes, IOQJS and NSEJS are similar exams. NSEJS stands for the National Standard Examination in Junior Science whereas IOQJS stands for the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Junior Science. IOQJS is the combination of NSEJS and the Indian National Olympiad examination.

  1. Age: Competitors must not be more than 15 years old.
  2. Citizenship: The candidate must hold a valid passport of the respective country or must be in the education system of that country for at least one academic year.
  3. A normal team consists of six students and three leaders.
