How do you get selected for International Physics Olympiad?
Eligibility for OCSC : Only the students selected from the merit list of Stage II (INPhO) are eligible. There will be no other criterion or provision. The camps include several theoretical and experimental tests. Orientation is provided to students especially in experiments.
Is University Physics good for Olympiad?
It depends on the Olympiad is for which grade . For example if the olympiad is for ninth grade , it won’t help (supposing u manage to understand university physics ) . This is because these exams are not meant for ur GK but for the understanding of how you apply the concepts you learnt that particular year .
Is University Physics good for INPhO?
Very helpful. Lower division undergrad physics knowledge should be (nearly) enough for IPhO. Once you have mastered it, all you need is problem solving skills/experience. Assuming you are smart, doing a good number of exercises should make you ready for IPhO.
Is NCERT enough for Olympiad?
NCERT along with JEE syllabus is mostly sufficient for all the olympiads. Chemistry olympiads cover the entirety of JEE syllabus.

Can Olympiad give physics after 12th?
Stage I – National Standard Examination (NSE) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, Junior Science organized by IAPT. All students of Class XII or below (science stream) are eligible to appear for NSEs. A student may appear for more than one Olympiad as per the examination schedule.

Halliday and Resnick is good if you’re looking to understand the subject as a fresher and looking to solve problems at the same time. The difference between Krane and Walker is that in the latter the third author has incorporated material from his own book, The Flying Circus of Physics, into it.
