What is simple water level indicator?

Simple Water Level Indicator. When water is rising the base of each transistor gets electrical connection to 6V AC through water and the corresponding probe. This, in turn, makes the transistors conduct to glow LED and indicate the level of water.

How does a water level indicator work?

Water level indicators work by using sensor probes to indicate water levels in a storage tank. These probes send information back to the control panel to trigger an alarm or indicator. As mentioned above, the control panel can be programmed to automatically turn on your pump to refill the water again.

  • Capacitors (1 uF – 1)
  • Breadboard.
  • Connecting wires.
  • Battery with Battery Snap Connector.

How do I measure the water level in my tank?

Measure the height between the gauge and the bottom of the tank. Subtract that amount from the reading to get the water level in the tank. You could also order a gauge with that amount subtracted in the calibration of the gauge, so the gauge will directly read the water level.
