How do you pray WITR Sunni?

Sit down and turn your head to the right shoulder, then say, “Assalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah.” You then turn your head to the left and repeat the same phrase. You have now completed the peace offering or tasleem. Pray an odd number of rak’ah for your Witr prayer.

What is the correct way of praying WITR?

The Witr Salah is done by praying two rak’ahs and then praying one single ra’kah. You can pray up to eight rak’ah, and then end it with one single rak’ah.

What is dua e qunoot?

Dua Qunoot (or sometimes referred to as dua-e-qunoot or qunut dua) is a special supplication which is mentioned in the hadith. It is often recited and known for it’s association with the Witr salah. But it is the Sunnah or mustahabb (recommended) to recite the Qunoot during Witr based off the hadith.

It is advised once the traveller has settled that he should pray the Sunnah and Nafl prayers. Some scholars are under the opinion that Fajr sunnah and Witr prayer should be prayed even during the stay or travel as it’s strongly emphasized. There is no shortening of the Nafl, Maghrib or Fajr Salat.
