How does betahistine help with vertigo?

How does betahistine work? When you have Ménière’s disease, your symptoms such as dizziness, hearing loss and ringing in the ears are probably caused by a build-up of fluid in the inner ear. Betahistine is thought to work by increasing blood flow to this part of your ear and to reduce the amount of fluid there.
