How does document verification work?

Once the customer has uploaded the images, the software scans the documents using optical character recognition. The extracted information from the image is then analyzed and verified against the government and private databases. Simultaneously, the document is also checked for forgery and signs of tampering.

Certify copies

  1. Make a copy of the original document.
  2. Take the original document and your copy to the certifier.
  3. They will check your copy is the same as the original.
  4. On a single-page document, the certifier must write or stamp, ‘This is a certified true copy of the original as sighted by me’

A person currently licensed or registered to practice in Australia as one of the following occupations:

  • Dentist.
  • Financial adviser or financial planner.
  • Legal practitioner.

Personal documents – You’ll need to bring all of the following: An original proof of citizenship document. An acceptable photo ID document. A photocopy of the front and back of the citizenship document and photo ID document.
