How does MoviPrep feel?

Moviprep may make you feel nauseated or sick, feel tired, have abdominal bloating or cramps. The lack of solid food in combination with Moviprep can trigger nausea. We suggest you drink plenty of clear fluid to help prevent this. The frequent bowel movements can cause anal irritation.

Does MoviPrep taste awful?

Yes the prep does taste awful and whatever you use to help flavour it you will never want to drink again. But I had no side effects no cramping, bloating or nausea. The motions I was able to easily get to the toilet and didn’t need to get up in the night.

How long will I be on the toilet after MoviPrep?

A watery bowel movement should begin in approximately two hours after you finish drinking the first liter of MoviPrep solution. You will continue to have loose bowel movements for 1-2 hours or more.

Will I be up all night with colonoscopy prep?

The prep process can be a little scary the first time. These steps will help you breeze through it. The good news is that there is usually very little discomfort. You will likely be able to sleep through the night once the first round of evening prep is over.

Can you mix MoviPrep with Coke?

You may have Gatorade, Water Ice, Popsicles, Ginger Ale, 7-Up, Sprite, Coke, Pepsi, or Any soda, Jello (yellow or green) and chicken or beef broth. You may have black coffee and tea. You may use sugar/sweetener. Milk and cream are NOT allowed in the coffee or tea.

How will I feel during colonoscopy prep?

The bowel prep can sometimes make a person feel nauseous, bloated, thirsty, or dizzy. If this occurs, the individual should give themselves a break of at least 30 minutes from drinking the prep and slowly sip on clear fluids. If they can tolerate returning to drinking the prep, they should.
