How hot was Balerions fire?

According to Westeros stories, the breath of fire of Balerion, Aegon the Conqueror’s huge black dragon, melted down the walls of the castle of Harrenhal. Assuming the castle walls were made of granite stone, like many castles throughout England, their melting temperature would be around 1,250ºC.

A dragon’s scales, which thicken with age, protects the dragon from fire, although it is not entirely impervious to flame.
