How is document verification done in KCET?
Eligible candidates have to appear for verification of documents in the Facilitation Centre / Helpline Centre which is nearest to them with all the necessary original documents. Documents will be verified through Online Verification Software in Facilitation Centres / Helpline Centres.
Is KCET document verification compulsory?
It is compulsory for all candidates to be present for the KCET 2021 document verification. The details of eligible candidates will be published on the official website on the same day.
What is secret key in KCET?
‘Secret Key’ is one of the important components of the KCET counselling process, which will be provided to candidates after the document verification. The secret key will help candidates with the further process of counselling that happens after the document verification.
Is tehsildar a gazetted officer?
Tehsildar are Class 1 gazetted officers in most states of India. In Uttar Pradesh, tehsildar are given powers of assistant collector Grade I. They also are given judicial power. They implement the various policies of the taluka and are subject to the District Collector.
What is the use of verification slip?
The verification slip issued to the candidates indicates the category which he / she belongs, rank number for each discipline to which he / she eligible, special category if any etc. It will help in choosing the college or course or place of the college.
What is option entry?
There are several government and private colleges that are providing courses in the medical and engineering sector. Option Entry is the procedure through which the aspirants mention the name of the college as per their preference and courses they are willing to take admission in.
What is the procedure of KCET counselling?
KCET counselling is done in two parts In offline mode the qualified students will be called for the document verification and seat allotment process. During which the candidates should carry their original documents with multiple attested photocopies.
What is the procedure for special category candidates in KCET?
As it is mentioned below a medical examination/verification will be first conducted for Physically Disabled Special Category Candidates followed by document verification. Every candidate who is assigned a rank (in KCET) must report to the nearest/most convenient helpline centres as per the schedule below.
What happens to the original documents after Kea verification?
The original documents will be returned to the candidate after verification and KEA will retain one set of attested photocopies of all the documents. An acknowledgement card and a verification slip will be issued to the candidates at the end of verification.
