How long does a stock remains in ASM list?

1. The stocks shall be retained in each stage as applicable for a minimum period of 5 / 15 trading days and shall be eligible for review from 6th / 16th Trading day onwards. 2. Accordingly, if a stock is not meeting entry criteria on the review date, it shall be moved out of Short-term ASM framework.

What if a stock is in ASM list?

ASM is Additional Surveillance Measures. It is a new category formulated by SEBI to check market manipulation. High-risk stocks are placed under ASM list. This means in last one year this stock has given 672\% CAGR return to the investors.

ASM list is the list of securities which are currently under Surveillance due to Price , Volume variation, Volatility etc. Exchanges (NSE and BSE) release this list periodically after SEBI’s order. You can find the ASM list on below links: ASM List NSE.

What is ASM stage1?

During stage I of ASM, following action is imposed – a. 100 \% Margin b. Daily price band of 5 \% or lower. During Stage II, when the security is shifted to trade to trade settlement wherein the settlement shall be on gross basis i.e. delivery based.

Is ASM (ASM listed stock) good for long term investors?
