How Long Do Colleges Keep Transcripts? College transcripts do not expire and schools are obligated to maintain transcripts for all students who have enrolled in and attended their institution — regardless of whether or not that student graduated.
What do I do if I don’t have my transcript?
To get an official copy of your transcript, contact your school’s registrar. In most cases, you don’t even have to call or go in person; the registrar’s office may have an online form for requesting your transcript. If the school you attended has closed, you can still get a copy of your transcript.

Can I ask for my admissions file?
Under the rules of FERPA, you are only allowed to access your records at an institution where you are a student, so this will torpedo your quest to find out what admission officials at colleges that rejected you might have said. You can, however, access your file at the college you attend.
Do colleges look at past applications?
While policies do vary, colleges typically save applications for at least a couple years, and when a student has applied in the past, most admission officers will revisit the old application or at least parts of it.
