How long does Kali take to update?

It would take about again 45–60 Min in all setup Virtual machine . It Also Depends on your system hardware performance . If you want to install it Graphically first you have to download it and boot it after that it would take like 30–45 min to install it complete .

How do you install Kali Linux live on USB with persistence step by step?

In this guide we are using Rufus.

  1. Download Rufus and run it.
  2. Select your USB device.
  3. Click SELECT and browse to the Kali Linux 2021 Live ISO you downloaded.

Live Kali Linux requires the usb device as the OS runs from within the usb whereas installed version requires ur hard disk to remain connected to use the OS. Live kali doesn’t require hard disk space and with persistent storage the usb behaves exactly as if kali is installed in the usb.
