One we most recently did was a fly drive road trip from Atlanta to New Orleans with stops in places such as Tupelo, Mississippi (Birthplace of Elvis), Memphis, TN and of course New Orleans. We then looped back around via Mobile and Montgomery Alabama before heading back to Atlanta International Airport to fly home.
How long does it take to drive from Columbus to New Orleans?
It takes us 6 hours to drive from Columbus (about 1 1/2 hrs southwest of ATL) to New Orleans. Most of the drive is through Alabama and there is NOT much to see, especially from Montgomery to Mobile. We always just drive straight through.
