How many hours do med students sleep?

There were 261, out of a possible 720, responses to the survey. While 71.5\% of respondents believed that they needed >7 hours of sleep only 24.9\% of respondents stated they average >7 hours of sleep. During the week of an examination only 15.3\% of students stated they averaged >7 hours of sleep.

Can you sleep 8 hours in med school?

Yes, it is possible to get 8 hours, but you must plan ahead. During the preclinical years, many of my classmates would pull “all-nighters” or late nights in the days right before an exam. Considering how many exams there are in medical school, this can add up to a lot of late nights and sleep deprivation.
