Is AP harder or IB harder?

IB higher level is, at some high schools, considered harder than AP. Most colleges give credit for AP exams and higher-level IB exams, but not all give credit for standard-level IB exams.

Some people find IB harder than their early college (freshman and sophomore) courses, and about the same difficulty as junior and senior major’s courses.

Which is better IB or AP?

IB is a better choice for some students, whereas AP may work better for others. It depends on your goals and the subjects you are interested in taking. With the IB program, you have a range of choices within the fixed high school curriculum. The advantage is that it makes it a broader, more holistic program.

Actually, colleges don’t automatically consider AP or IB harder or more impressive on a transcript. Since IB is a rarer program, they can’t penalize students for not taking it. Plus, there are huge differences in how both AP and IB courses are taught and graded at high schools across the country.

Is College harder than AP classes?

AP courses are harder than regular high school courses, more on a level with undergraduate college level classes, so the fact that you take such courses in high school is a good indicator that you are ready for college level work.
