Is International physics Olympiad tough?

Though not unprecedented, it is a rare development for IPhO – 2105, arguably the toughest competition in physics at the pre-college level. While the exam was challenging, getting the results out was probably equally exacting.

Because of that mostly of Chinese students used to trained for Mathematical Olympiad. Students go to training institutions every weekend and every holiday (they make good money). So China got a great number of Mathematical Olympiad leaner and broad base. In my last of primary school, i took part in different level competition every week.

Why do so many Chinese students win gold medals in Olympics?

A great majority of students have received gold medals. The fact that China achieved such encouraging result is due to, on one hand, Chinese students’ hard working and perseverance, and on the other hand, the effort of teachers in schools and the training offered by national coaches.
