Is it hard to get into NYU Tisch?

Admission to the Tisch School of the Arts is a highly selective process. Applicants are held to rigorous academic and artistic standards, and evaluated through a two-part admissions process, which includes submitting both the Common Application and an artistic review.

How hard is it to get into Tisch acting?

The ACT score, however, needs work. A 26 isn’t terrible, but there are students applying who received a 30 or higher. They currently have an edge over you if grades and coursework are equal. That said, Tisch remains a highly competitive school to attend, but you do have a decent chance of getting accepted.

Do you need good grades for NYU Tisch?

NYU undergraduate students are ineligble to apply. If you are a current NYU student interested in taking Tisch courses, we encourage you to register for Courses for NYU Non-Majors. You must have a 3.0 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.

How many people are accepted to Tisch?

ITP accepts 110 students every Fall semester. At any given time, we have 220 students in the department. The average age is 26-27 and students come from over 25 different countries each year.

Does NYU Tisch do interviews?

For fall 2022 admissions, we will contact you to schedule an interview and you will be able to choose your preferred date from options that will be provided. Later in the fall, we will determine whether interviews will be conducted in-person or remotely.
