Is math compulsory for IAT?

Yes, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. All these subject are mandatory. Since Math Syllabus is from class 11 and class 12th, so it is mandatory that you must have mathematics as your subject in class 11th and class 12th.

Is maths compulsory for PCB?

Maths is also compulsory for B.Sc. Selection will be made on the basis of the percentage of Physics-Chemistry-Maths (PCM) or Physics-Chemistry-Biology (PCB). However, if PCM is chosen as part of the best of four subjects, the student will get a 3\% relaxation.

How do I prepare for IAT?

For the IISER aptitude test, you can study from the same books that you use for JEE preparation. NCERT (especially for Chemistry & Biology) + coaching material is a good combination. You need strong concepts understanding to crack IAT. Keep practicing conceptual questions.

Can I give IISER exam without maths?

None of the IISERs mandatorily requires a math background for BS-MS admissions. However, if you are applying for the Engineering Science (EECS and Chem. Engineering) and the Economics programme at IISER Bhopal, then you are required to have a math background in 11th and 12th.

Can a PCB student get admission in IISc?

The IISc eligibility criteria of IISc BS 2020 is given below: 1. Candidates should have passed class 12th (or equivalent) qualifying examination in 2019. So PCB students are not eligible for the IISc BS course.

Which is easy PCM or PCB?

If you want a quick answer, take PCB if you want to study medicine after 12. Take PCM if you want to pursue engineering after 12. Take both (PCMB) if you are not sure what you want to study. If you like to do courses in basic sciences, then you can choose your preferred subjects accordingly.

Is IISER easy?

IISER Aptitude Test is more like JEE Main. It is easier than JEE Advance. There are four sections in the exam, and all have equal weightage.

Can a PCB student give IISER aptitude test?

ANSWER (1) Absolutely! You can but you have to get admission in IISERs from any one of the channels among JEE Advance, KVPY or IISER apt. You can crack KVPY or IISER apt to get admission in IISER.
