Is Monsanto good or bad?

Monsanto is an American agrochemical and agricultural biotechnology corporation that was founded in 1901. Generally known for producing genetically modified organisms (GMOs), having a bad environmental record, using dangerous pesticides, and clashing with local farmers.

Did Percy beat Monsanto?

Percy Schmeiser’s long legal battle against Monsanto has reached an end. On 21 May 2004, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled, in a tight 5-4 decision, that the farmer was guilty of violating Monsanto’s patent on a gene for resistance to glyphosate (“Roundup”, a broad-spectrum herbicide).

Is Roundup safe to use?

In 2017, the United States Environmental Protection Agency issued a draft report that concluded glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, is safe and “not likely” to cause cancer in humans. The EPA is still reviewing data on the herbicide to determine whether it is a harmful product.
