Is SGPT 190 normal?

SGPT exists predominantly in the liver and leaks into the bloodstream when produced in excess. The SGPT normal range is about 7 to 56 units per liter of blood serum.

Can LFT detect liver failure?

Liver function tests are blood tests used to help diagnose and monitor liver disease or damage. The tests measure the levels of certain enzymes and proteins in your blood.

What does high SGOT mean?

If the results of your SGOT test are high, that means one of the organs or muscles containing the enzyme could be damaged. These include your liver, but also the muscles, heart, brain, and kidneys. Your doctor may order follow-up tests to rule out another diagnosis.
