Is SWCC training the same as SEAL training?

SWCC training is part of Naval Special Warfare School located in Coronado, CA. The program is nine weeks long, and is under the command of the Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training (BUD/S).

Is Marine or SEAL training harder?

SWCC and SEAL candidates then move to Coronado, California to attend Basic Underwater Demolition Orientation/or SEAL Orientation (BO) alongside SEAL candidates.

How long is SWCC training?

Instructors of crewman qualification training develop, train and qualify SWCC candidates in basic weapons, seamanship, first aid, and small unit tactics. This phase of training is 21 weeks long. Physical training here is geared to prepare the student to meet the requirements of the operational special boat teams.

How long is SWCC boot camp?

This course is between 5 and 9 weeks in duration and covers the physical and psychological preparation for SWCC training. Essentially, this phase of training acts as a link between basic training and the SWCC course, as many individuals will suffer from detraining as a consequence of the naval basic training process.
