Is TA a teaching experience?

You may be able to count experience as a teaching, research or lab assistant at a post-secondary educational institution, (see National Occupation Classification 4012) toward the work experience requirement, depending on the eligibility criteria of the programs.

If you quickly want to go for a PhD then better go for M.Tech TA otherwise you will be benefited by M.Tech RA. A2A RA is research oriented. There are many institutes which prefer Mtech over MS for teaching. In NITs, MS program isn’t yet started and there are lesser research oriented subjects like Big data, CC etc.
