Is an AK74u an SMG?

The AK74u is a high damage per bullet SMG. At any range shy of twenty meters, the AK74u will deal 35 damage, netting a three shot kill. The AK74u will drop off in damage until twenty-five meters, were the AK74u will deal 20 damage, netting a five shot kill, or a four shot kill with headshots.
