Toyota 86 has softer, road-friendly, tail happy suspension. While BRZ has snappier, track-centered suspension. Styling is probably what makes these twin different, BRZ has more humble lighting styling but sporting a big front bumper with noticeable chin and plastic bar to put your plates on.

It is a liveable daily driver, but if you need more practicality such as better rear seats, higher ride, more space or the like then buy a hot hatch.
