Is there NRI quota in amu?

All the three types of seats present in AMU, being NRI quota seats, open seats and internal seats- admission is done through counselling by MCC. The authorities will go through your details and if considered eligible for NRI quota, you will be given respective NRI quota seat in a college according to your AIR secured.

What is the fees of NRI quota?

The MBBS course fee for the NRI quota in the deemed universities ranges from 25,000/- USD to 2,20,000/- USD with the lowest fees offered by Sri Siddhartha Medical College DU, Tumkur and Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Res. Institute, Chennai being the highest.

What are NRI sponsored seats?

In the case of an NRI-sponsored category, seats are offered to those candidates who have their permanent residence in India simply because an NRI relative is paying their fee, which is considerably higher than the fee paid by candidates entering the same college through the common merit list.

  • One of the parents must be an NRI residing abroad.
  • The person sponsoring the education must be an NRI residing outside India and a first-degree relation with the student.

NRI(genuine) means the student or person is of indian origin and is not residing in India. NRI(sponsored) is mainly used during admission in colleges and all. This means that the student or person is sponsored by a NRI for his studies.

Is NRI sponsored category?

Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored category seats are only available for foreign nationals / candidates with NRI status or those sponsored by relatives with NRI status. Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored category seats are NOT equivalent to payment / management / reserved seats.

Is NRI quota in NIT?

Is there an NRI quota in NITs? Not exactly an NRI quota, NITs have some reserved seats for NRI students under the DASA scheme. The number of seats in DASA quota is 15\% of the total seats in the institute. Admissions in DASA/ CIWG seats will happen on the basis of JEE Main rank.
