I got into M over 25 years when the acceptance rate was about 10\% (approx. 500 apps for 50 spots). I think it’s much lower now, around 2.5-3\% with even fewer ‘nuisance’ (i.e. blatantly uncompetitive) applications than Wharton, much less than Penn as a whole. So it’s a crap shoot even for the very best candidates.
