Should fans be in front or behind AIO?

To prioritize the GPU cooling, you’d place the CPU AIO on top of the case as an exhaust. This will make the CPU slightly warmer, but your GPU will stay cooler. With a traditional tower air cooler, you’d optimally want the fan located on the cooler’s heatsink pushing air towards the rear exhaust of the case.

Where do you put fans in AIO?

One good mounting position is to mount the radiator of the cooler at the frontal area of the case interior. The side of the radiator where the tubes connect should be at the bottom, and the pump should be mounted in a position where it is slightly lower than the top of the radiator, where air is captured.

Can you put case fans on an AIO?

you should be 100\% fine useing case fans as AIO fans, just make sure you check your temps to see if u are happy with them, and it would not hurt to use Good case fans. (CoolerMaster) (Corsair) (Noctua) and Adjust the case Fan speed with the Speed Fan software.

Can you put fans on both sides of an AIO radiator?

You can put 2 fans in both sides of the AIO’s rad. This is called the Push AND Pull setup (as opposed to the Push OR Pull setup).

Is it OK to place fans behind the radiator in pull?

there are no rules. if you had a massive air cooler instead of the rad, the top and rear fans would be ideal as exhaust. they would draw in air from the bottom get hot and exhaust in the rear/top.

Should radiator fans push or pull?

A Push configuration is more efficient in cooling when its blowing cool(er) air from outside the plenum through a radiator. A Push also makes your build louder. In Pull configuration the fan or fans are drawing an air stream out of the radiator.

Which way should my fans be facing?

When mounting case fans, air flows across the open side towards the side with the protective grille, like so: So the open side of the fan should face outside the case for intake fans on the front or the bottom, and it should face inside the case for fans on the rear or top.

Should top mounted fans intake or exhaust?

If your case has vents at the top, they should be placed as exhaust fans because hot air will rise. Side-mounted fans should be used for intake, though they often don’t have air filters. To prevent dust issues, you can custom fabricate your own filters.

Do GPU fans push or pull air?

GPU fans usually pull air into the card. Case fans depending on the orientation pull air into the case or push out of the case.

Can I put any fan on a radiator?

Radiators can basically use any fan. Any fan will move some air and the water cooling loop will work.

Is it worth putting fans on both sides of a radiator?

A push/pull setup is sometimes the best way to go. Using fans on both sides of the radiator is fine but if your radiator is cooling as well as it possibly can with fans on only one side, doubling your fan count is only going to cost more money and make the whole setup louder.

Should I mount my radiator fan on the front or back?

Jan 28, 2014 27,404 You will get slightly better temperatures from mounting the fans for intake on your radiator than you will for exhaust, as they will be moving cooler outside air through the radiator instead of the hotter internal air. This means that front mount is usually the best for cooling the AIO liquid (with hoses above pump).

Can I use 2 fans with a corsair Rad?

Those with 1 fan always have the fan blowing unto the heat sink. Of course it might work as well for the corsair rad even if i use the 2 fans as outtakes rather than intakes i don’t know until i try it out which i won’t. (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)

What is the best way to mount the AIO cooler?

This means that front mount is usually the best for cooling the AIO liquid (with hoses above pump). Depending on your case, though, you may have to top- or back- mount it for exhaust. Jan 13, 2021 #12

Where do you place your fans?

Here’s a video i see of this guy reviewing some fans. He places the fans behind the radiator so it’s pulling out the heat. It’s best to have the fans sucking air, so the frame holding the fan spindle isnt blocking some of the airflow to the radiator.
