Should I get into 40k or AoS?

In short, 40K has a greater level of simulation than AOS when it comes to combat: it has different weapon types, multi-damage weapons are actually more valuable against larger targets than they are in AOS, and melee weapons take the strength of the wielder into account.

What’s more popular 40k or AoS?

40k has been, and still is more popular then AoS. But I think that AoS may be the better game. I always felt like the focus on assault/melee combat in 40k was out of place, but it fits very well into AoS and the rules for AoS actually seem a bit better.

Is AoS or 40k cheaper?

While AoS does have some weapon options, they are treated as the same price regardless of what they do because they don’t affect the unit point cost at all. 40k on the other hand, is very granular with its points per model with some things being a low as 1 point.

Do wounds spill over in 40k?

When these weapons target characters (who are usually just a single model), or units of models with only one wound then you can fast roll all of the shots as normal because the Mortal wounds will spill over to the rest of the unit.

How do wounds work in 40k?

In your scenario, you have shot 10 times, hit 6 times, and wounded 4 times. For every wound roll you have passed, you have generated 1 wound. The Ork player allocates a wound and now has the ability to take a saving throw on that wound.
