Should I resend an email to a professor?

Do I need to send a second follow-up email after no response from a professor I would like to work with? If you want and believe that you are the right person to work with, there is no reason not to be persistent. I would recommend sending him an email again. Short and sweet, to the point.

Email the professor with the request. Make it clear and self contained. After about a week with no reply, send a followup email politely checking back with them.

What to do if a professor does not respond to email for letter of recommendation?

Try a follow up email: they may have been too busy to answer, especially they’re trying to think of a polite way to decline. Reply to your previous email to remind them of the request and make it clear that you understand if they cannot give a recommendation.
