Should I take AP Chem Bio or physics?
If you are going into the medical field, the AP Biology as a junior and physics (any level) as a senior would be the best sequence. You’re going to get plenty of biology of all stripes the minute you enter the pre-med curriculum in college. Physics is more “linear” and structured in the mathematical sense.
Should I take AP Biology or AP Physics?
You should take AP Biology and AP Physics together if you have room in your schedule and want to explore your interest and aptitude in the sciences. Many universities require core science classes and, depending on your major, having both biology and physics credits could be very helpful.
Is AP Chem harder or AP Bio?
AP Chemistry is definitely the toughest. It’s easily the hardest exam on the list because of it’s heavy emphasis on conceptual understanding, memorization, and math. In AP Chem you will need to know that formula to use and just crunch the numbers, not something you will be doing in Bio too much.
What is harder AP Physics or AP Bio?
If you don’t like memorisation or often get overwhelmed by content, AP Bio will be far harder than AP Physics. Also keep in mind that the threshold for a 5 in AP Physics C is often very very low – meaning that once you learn the content, getting a 5 isn’t all that difficult.
Can you take AP Bio as a senior?
Most students take AP Biology their junior or senior year.
Should I take AP physics for pre med?
In pre-med and med school, you’ll definitely be taking a lot of science classes, so it’s important to have a strong foundation in this subject by the time you enter college. AP Physics is also useful since pretty much all med schools have a physics requirement as well.
Which AP physics should I take for premed?
The safest bet for a premedical MB&B student with AP physics credit is to take two semesters of introductory physics at Yale, with labs, or to take two semesters of more advanced physics courses, with labs.
Should I take AP Biology as a senior?
If you don’t take this course as a junior, you may not be able to perform as highly on the exam. However, if no colleges you’re interested in require the SAT Science subject test, I’d recommend AP Lang as a junior and AP Bio as a senior.
Should I take AP Physics senior year or junior year?
All colleges see your senior schedule and in fact, it is a big factor in your admission. Most colleges even factoring in first semester grades! (Except UCs). So taking ap physics either year is definitely valuable. It shouldn’t matter when you take it, but if you take it junior year, you must focus more on the grade.
Should I take AP Chemistry or AP Biology?
In short, I would say AP Chemistry because chemistry is required for all science majors in college while biology is not. But really understand your strengths and take the class you think you’ll be more successful in. AP Chem requires more mathematical skills where as AP Bio requires more reading comprehension skills.
Is taking AP Physics worth it?
(Except UCs). So taking ap physics either year is definitely valuable. It shouldn’t matter when you take it, but if you take it junior year, you must focus more on the grade. If you take it senior year, it’s still impressive. But for an engineer they would definitely want to see a hard science every year
What AP classes should I take to become an engineer?
One thing you could do is take ap physics 1 junior year, and then take ap physics c senior year. Or, you could take ap chemistry / AP bio junior year, and then either of the ap physics senior year. (I think ap chemistry would be more valuable to an engineer than ap bio)
